CHALLENGES

• IOC wanted to identify an opportunity to design an Energy Efficiency Program with its B2B customers

• Unknown size of prize of the Energy Efficiency market

• Unstructured and fragmented capability to deliver energy efficiency solutions across the company

• Resistance to develop a different business model in parts of the organisation.

ACTIONS TAKEN

• Developed an Energy Efficiency opportunity identification methodology to go from opportunity identification to roadmap development

• Conducted market research to size the market and understand industry competitiveness

• Led interviews with SMEs and conducted a series of workshops to understand and bring together UVPs, capabilities and solutions

• Designed decision-making and governance to ensure transparency and decisive process for the CVPs, business model and organisation

RESULTS

• Estimated the potential CO2e reduction by customer-industry and sized in equivalent $ prize

• Identified 30+ and selected top 5 solutions via business cases and DRBs process

• Recommended a new organisation to support the new value proposition and business model
